YOU vs YOU

YOU vs YOU was a philosophy I embraced back in 2018 but truly started back in 2011 after my father suffered a triple brain aneurysm and stroke.  When my dad came out of the hospital in July of 2011, I struggled to cope and grieve with this sudden shock to my life and routine. During this time, my father was physically all there but struggled to speak and articulate his thoughts. His vocabulary consisted of 10-20 words and names and it was obvious that his guidance and mentorship he always possessed would be a lot different with his inability to speak to us kids. 

In August of 2011 I enrolled at Hastings College to go to school and play football for the Broncos. 

Thankfully, we were able to have 7 more years with him before his passing in March of 2018.
